Can I use an image as a watermark?
Not yet — text only for now. Logo watermarks are on the roadmap.
Can I change the colour or angle?
Not in this version. The watermark uses a fixed diagonal at 45° and a neutral grey.
Will the watermark cover my text?
It's semi-transparent, so original content stays readable underneath.
Is the watermark permanent?
It's part of the new PDF you download. Anyone can remove it by editing the PDF, so use it as a marker — not as security.
Is Add watermark free to use?
Yes. The Free plan lets you run Add watermark twice a day on files up to 10 MB, no card required. Pro removes the daily limit and raises the size cap to 50 MB.
Does Add watermark work on Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android?
Yes. Add watermark runs in any modern browser, so it works the same on macOS, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, iOS and Android — no app to install.
What's the maximum file size?
10 MB per file on the Free plan, 50 MB on Pro and 200 MB on Business. Larger files should be compressed first with the Compress PDF tool.
